IT Project Manager

Piper Companies is seeking an IT Project Manager to support digital transformation initiatives within a leading organization in the manufacturing industry. The IT Project Manager role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong project planning, SDLC expertise, and familiarity with enterprise systems. The IT Project Manager role is a long term contract opportunity and requires you to work in office 1-2 weeks per month in Greensboro, NC.

Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager:

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, scope, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Drive project execution using SDLC and Agile methodologies while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
•  Utilize MS Project and ideally Jira for scheduling, tracking, reporting, and risk management.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations stakeholders to maintain clear communication and project transparency.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely issue resolution.

Requirements of the IT Project Manager:

• 7+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with MS Project and ideally Jira.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and project governance.
• Experience developing and executing project plans, scope, schedules, and resource planning.
• Experience working with MES, LIMS, QMS, engineering design platforms, or specification systems.

Compensation for the IT Project Manager:

• $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
