CI/CD Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a CICD Engineer to support a technology‑driven client in the IT industry. The CICD Engineer position is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong experience building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines across hybrid on‑prem and cloud environments. This CICD Engineer role is a long term contract opportunity and requires you to sit on site 2 days per week in Morrisville, NC.

Responsibilities of the CICD Engineer:

• Design, build, and enhance CI/CD pipelines across hybrid on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain automation tooling using Python, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Develop and support infrastructure‑as‑code solutions using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Work with AWS and Azure environments to automate deployments and optimize infrastructure performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues, improve efficiency, and enforce best practices for CI/CD automation.

Requirements of the CICD Engineer:

• Strong background in CI/CD engineering, pipeline design, and automation workflows.
• Experience working in hybrid environments (on‑prem + cloud).
• Hands‑on experience with Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
• Cloud experience with AWS and Azure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred.

Compensation for the CICD Engineer:

• $115,000 - $130,000
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
