CNC Machinist

Piper Companies is looking for a CNC Machinist to join a premier manufacturing team based in Pleasanton, CA. This is a fully onsite, hands‑on machining and programming position where you’ll independently manage CNC jobs from beginning to end.

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment.
• Develop and refine programs using Surfcam or comparable CAM software.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Choose tooling/fixtures and perform complete setups and part inspections.
• Diagnose machining problems and enhance processes as needed.
• Utilize precision measurement tools and maintain accurate documentation.
• Operate manual machines when required.

Qualifications for the CNC Machinist:

• Advanced CNC programming skills (Surfcam or similar preferred).
• Strong hands‑on machining and setup background.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and precision measurement practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and streamline machining processes.
• Must work onsite in Pleasanton, CA five days per week.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation for the CNC Machinist:

• $55/hr – $63/hr based on experience.
• Full benefits package: Blue Cross & Blue Shield Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and paid Holidays.
