Technical Project Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead cross‑functional technology initiatives supporting a client in the engineering and scientific solutions industry. The Technical Project Manager role is ideal for an experienced IT PM with strong delivery skills, structured project execution, and exposure to laboratory, manufacturing, or engineering platforms.

Responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager:

• Develop, manage, and execute detailed project plans, schedules, and project scope across multiple workstreams.

• Utilize MS Project for scheduling, tracking, and reporting; manage Agile workflows ideally with Jira.

• Drive effective communication with stakeholders, sponsors, and technical teams to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery.

• Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, and project governance methodologies.

• Coordinate with engineering, quality, IT, and operations groups to support technology implementations and enhancements.

• Support or oversee initiatives tied to MES, LIMS, QMS, engineering design platforms, or specification systems.

Qualifications of the Technical Project Manager:

• 7+ years of IT Project Management experience.

• Strong proficiency with MS Project and ideally Jira.

• Proven success developing and executing project plans, defining scope, and managing complex deliverables.

• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

• Preferred experience with MES, LIMS, QMS, engineering design platforms, or specification systems.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑team collaboration capabilities.

Compensation for the Technical Project Manager includes:

• Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000
