Validation Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Validation Engineer to support a life sciences organization in executing targeted CQV activities for an ongoing lab expansion for a 12-month onsite contract engagement based out of Durham, NC. The Validation Engineer will focus on documentation, testing coordination, and report development for newly installed utilities and equipment.

Responsibilities of the Validation Engineer include:

· Draft and review commissioning and qualification documents in alignment with project needs

· Support execution of light CQV activities and coordinate test scheduling with engineering teams

· Prepare validation reports and ensure documentation is structured for turnover

· Assist with change control and documentation updates for new and modified systems

· Provide flexible part‑time or full‑time support as driven by validation workload

Qualifications for the Validation Engineer include:

· Experience supporting validation within laboratory or regulated environments

· Understanding of documentation requirements, testing protocols, and change control

· Strong attention to detail when reviewing redlines or updating validation deliverables

· Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, facilities, and project teams

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field

Compensation for the Validation Engineer:

Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000/year (USD)
