GMP Utilities Facilities Representative

Piper Companies is seeking a GMP Utilities Facilities Representative to support a growing life sciences organization undergoing major laboratory and clean‑utility upgrades for a 12-month onsite contract engagement based out of Durham, NC. The GMP Utilities Facilities Representative will oversee construction and commissioning activities tied to utility systems within GMP‑influenced spaces and help ensure system quality during turnover.

Responsibilities of the GMP Utilities Facilities Representative include:

· Oversee utility‑related construction work, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and controls installations align with GMP expectations

· Coordinate field verification of clean utilities, HVAC modifications, and supporting infrastructure during commissioning stages

· Drive resolution of utility punchlist items and communicate progress across engineering, facilities, and vendor teams

· Assist with preparation and review of turnover documentation for critical utilities and supporting systems

· Monitor contractor performance to confirm adherence to project schedules, quality requirements, and compliance standards

Qualifications for the GMP Utilities Facilities Representative include:

· Experience supporting facilities or utilities within GMP or GMP‑adjacent environments

· Strong understanding of clean utility systems, HVAC performance, and equipment installation practices

· Ability to evaluate construction progress and enforce expectations with vendors and contractors

· Skilled in cross‑functional communication with engineering, facilities, and project leadership

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field

Compensation for the GMP Utilities Facilities Representative:

Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000/year (USD)
