Senior IT Systems Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior IT Systems Analyst to support one of our partners in the manufacturing and industrial technology space for an onsite 12-month contract role based in Greensboro, NC. The Senior IT Systems Analyst will help drive technology stability and improvement across production environments, supporting key applications, integrations, and automation systems.

Responsibilities of the Senior IT Systems Analyst include:

· Translate operational and business needs into clear technical specifications and system designs.

· Oversee and enhance MES platforms, including configuration, issue resolution, and workflow optimization.

· Manage data and process integrations between manufacturing systems and ERP tools, ensuring accurate production and inventory movements.

· Support historian and OT data environments, including creation of data tags, troubleshooting data flow issues, and enabling analytics.

· Provide ongoing operational support, documentation, and cross‑team collaboration to maintain reliable plant‑floor systems.

Qualifications for the Senior IT Systems Analyst include:

· At least 7 years of IT or systems support experience within manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations.

· Strong knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4HANA (preferably in production‑related modules), along with cloud or integration tools such as SAP MII, SAP BTP, or Azure.

· Hands‑on MES experience, including configuration, troubleshooting, and enterprise integration.

· Proficiency with SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and stored procedure development; Python scripting experience for automation or data workflows.

· Familiarity with OPC UA connectivity, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to balance multiple priorities across cross‑functional teams.

Compensation for the Senior IT Systems Analyst:

Salary Range: $130,000-$145,000/year (USD)
