Test Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Test Engineer for a world-leading technology organization in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. The Test Engineer role is a hybrid position. The Test Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing test plans and artifacts, and will support the testing of security monitoring tools. An ideal candidate for the Test Engineer role is an experienced professional with strong expertise in testing methodologies.

Responsibilities of the Test Engineer:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Create and maintain test artifacts, including test scripts, test data, and test results.
• Support the testing of security monitoring tools to ensure their effectiveness and reliability.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on findings.

Qualifications of the Test Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience in systems testing, with a focus on security tools.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test automation and scripting.
• Understanding of TTP (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation for the Test Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $105,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave as required by law
