Piper Companies is seeking a End User Support Technician to join a Healthcare IT Support Team located in Plainsboro, NJ through 12-month contract-to-hire position. The End User Support Technician will focus primarily on providing Level 2 desktop support for a large end-user population, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and peripheral devices across the organization. It’s well suited for a proactive, collaborative professional who is eager to develop their skills within a stable healthcare IT environment.
Responsibilities of the End User Support Technician include:
- Provide Level 2 desktop support for end users across the organization, ensuring reliable day-to-day IT operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues within Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Windows 11 environments.
- Diagnose and repair issues with Lenovo desktops, laptops, and related hardware.
- Support and troubleshoot peripheral devices, including scanners and devices connected to network servers.
- Manage and resolve support tickets promptly, assisting users with system access, configuration, and technical troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with team members, escalate complex issues, when necessary, contribute to VDI and virtual printing initiatives, and maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, and procedures.
Qualifications for the End User Support Technician include:
- 2+ years of experience providing desktop or end-user support (Level 2 support preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments
- Experience supporting PC hardware, laptops, and peripherals (Lenovo systems preferred)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot devices in networked environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with ability to collaborate effectively within a team while supporting a large user base
- Preferred Experience - supporting VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), virtual printing technologies, and working in healthcare or large enterprise environments with large user populations
Compensation/Schedule for the End User Support Technician includes:
- Pay Rate Range: $23-25/hour
- Schedule: Fully Onsite, Monday–Friday (6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM)
