Site Reliability Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support a growing client in the technology and cybersecurity industry. The Site Reliability Engineer position is fully remote. The Site Reliability Engineer will play a key role in maintaining platform stability, strengthening system security, and supporting ongoing infrastructure operations within a highly collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer include:

• Monitor and maintain production environments to ensure system reliability, availability, and performance.

• Execute patching activities, vulnerability remediation efforts, and continuous system hardening initiatives.

• Utilize Linux command-line tools to troubleshoot issues, perform system administration tasks, and support day-to-day operations.

• Develop and enhance automation solutions through scripting and DevOps best practices to improve operational efficiency.

• Participate in an on-call escalation rotation and assist with incident response, root cause analysis, and infrastructure improvements.

Requirements of the Site Reliability Engineer include:

• 2+ years of professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or a related field.

• Hands-on experience with Linux administration, command-line troubleshooting, and scripting languages.

• Knowledge of patch management, vulnerability management, and security best practices.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk and experience supporting production environments.

• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as NIST or other regulatory standards is preferred.

Compensation for the Site Reliability Engineer include:

• $110,000 - $140,000 annually
