Piper Companies is seeking an IT Project Manager to support technology initiatives across Engineering, Quality, and Laboratory groups within a leading manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT PM with strong project planning skills, SDLC/Agile expertise, and experience working with enterprise and regulated systems. This is a long‑term contract requiring onsite presence in Greensboro, NC, 1–2 weeks per month.
Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager:
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, scope, and deliverables across multiple concurrent IT initiatives.
• Lead end‑to‑end project execution using hybrid SDLC and Agile methodologies while ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements.
• Utilize MS Project and ideally Jira for scheduling, tracking, reporting, RAID management, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, IT Development, Cybersecurity, and PMO teams to maintain transparency and ensure project readiness.
• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies; drive mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate testing, deployment, cutovers, and stabilization activities in regulated manufacturing environments.
Requirements of the IT Project Manager:
• 7+ years of IT Project Management experience supporting complex enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong hands‑on experience with MS Project and ideally Jira.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, project governance, and documentation best practices.
• Experience developing and executing project plans, schedules, scope statements, and resource plans.
• Preferred experience with MES, LIMS, QMS, engineering design platforms, or specification systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills; experience working in regulated or manufacturing environments is a plus.
Compensation for the IT Project Manager:
•Compensation: $145,000 – $156,000, depending on years of experience
