Senior IT Systems Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support and enhance complex production, MES, and integration systems across a fast‑paced industrial environment. The Manufacturing Systems Engineer role is ideal for an experienced technologist with deep expertise in SAP, MES platforms, SQL, and automation within manufacturing or supply chain operations.

Responsibilities of the Senior IT Systems Engineer:

• Provide advanced IT and systems support for manufacturing and supply‑chain operations.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot MES platforms and ensure integration with enterprise systems.

• Work with SAP ECC or S/4HANA (PP, Shop Floor Control) to support production workflows and system enhancements.

• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL Server environments including query tuning and stored procedures.

• Leverage Python scripting for automation, system integrations, and data transformation initiatives.

• Support cloud and integration platforms such as SAP MII, SAP BTP, and Azure.

• Apply OPC UA concepts for connectivity, configuration, and resolving interface issues with industrial equipment.

• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional manufacturing, operations, and IT stakeholders to drive uptime, efficiency, and system reliability.

Qualifications of the Senior IT Systems Engineer:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT or systems support, ideally within manufacturing or supply‑chain environments.

• Hands‑on experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA (Production Planning, Shop Floor Control).

• Experience with cloud & integration technologies: SAP MII, SAP BTP, Azure, or similar platforms.

• Expertise in MES configuration, troubleshooting, and system integrations.

• Strong SQL Server skills—administration, performance tuning, and stored procedure development.

• Proficiency in Python for automation and integration use cases.

• Understanding of OPC UA architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Must be a US Citizen or GC

Compensation for the Senior IT Systems Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $100,000 - $140,000
