Senior IT Architect

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior IT Architect to provide technical leadership across complex, integrated operational technology environments within the industrial sector. The Senior IT Architect role is ideal for an experienced professional with deep expertise in manufacturing systems, automation technologies, and enterprise‑level solution design.

Responsibilities of the Senior IT Architect:

• Lead solution design, governance, and service delivery initiatives across manufacturing and industrial IT environments.

• Oversee the architecture and support of integrated OT/IT systems including SCADA, PLCs, MES, and enterprise applications.

• Provide hands‑on technical leadership in SCADA/PLC integrations, SQL Server environments, Windows Server administration, and both legacy and modern application stacks.

• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and IT stakeholders to define system roadmaps, modernization strategies, and long‑term architectural standards.

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance across mission‑critical production systems.

• Contribute to the evolution of MES/MOM, SAP PP/PM, warehouse execution, automation platforms, and related ecosystem integrations.

Qualifications of the Senior IT Architect:

• 10+ years of IT experience with strong exposure to manufacturing, industrial automation, or OT systems.

• Proven experience software engineering on physical hardware

• Hands‑on expertise with C#, VBnet

• Experience with SQL Server

• Strong Experience with Windows Server

Compensation for the Senior IT Architect includes:

• Salary range: $110,000 - $160,000
