Cyber Investigator

Piper Companies is seeking a Cyber Investigator for a leading organization in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. The Cyber Investigator role is a hybrid position. The Cyber Investigator will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into cyber incidents, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing measures to prevent future breaches. An ideal candidate for the Cyber Investigator role is an experienced professional with a strong background in cybersecurity and investigative techniques.

Responsibilities of the Cyber Investigator:

• Conduct comprehensive investigations into cyber incidents, including data breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access.
• Analyze digital evidence and identify the source and extent of cyber threats.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and implement incident response plans.
• Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Qualifications of the Cyber Investigator:

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on incident response and investigation.
• Strong knowledge of digital forensics, malware analysis, and network security.
• Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, forensic software).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred.

Compensation for the Cyber Investigator includes:

• Salary range: $105,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave as required by law
