Sr. Business Intelligence Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Business Intelligence Developer to join a leading healthcare organization with locations in Allentown, PA and Fort Washington, PA. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Business Intelligence Developer:

• Serve as the SME for Epic Revenue Cycle reporting and Epic Clarity Data Models (HB or PB).
• Design, develop, and optimize high‑complexity BI solutions across enterprise healthcare environments.
• Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines, including performance tuning.
• Build dashboards and visual analytics using Power BI (preferred) or comparable BI tools.
• Support the organization’s migration from Tableau/Qlik to Power BI.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on BI architecture, ETL workflows, and data warehousing alignment.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and the standardization of BI outputs.
• Partner with revenue cycle leaders, operations teams, and reporting stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain Epic Radar dashboards where appropriate.
• Mentor junior BI developers and contribute to BI best practices, modeling standards, and enterprise reporting strategy.

Qualifications / Requirements for the Sr. Business Intelligence Developer:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Epic Clarity Data Model Certification – Revenue Cycle (HB or PB) REQUIRED.
• 5+ years of BI development or analytics experience in a healthcare environment.
• Advanced SQL expertise (CTEs, complex joins, stored procedures, indexing, optimization).
• Experience with data warehousing methodologies (star/snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).
• Power BI experience strongly preferred; Tableau/Qlik experience accepted if willing to transition.
• Demonstrated experience supporting revenue cycle reporting (HB, PB, claims, billing, scheduling, etc.).
• Experience developing dashboards, visual analytics, and complex BI models.

Compensation for the Sr. Business Intelligence Developer:

• Full‑time role with hybrid flexibility (2 days onsite in Allentown or Fort Washington, PA).

• $125,000 Base Salary
