Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Business Intelligence Developer to support a company focused on healthcare operations, quality, and analytics initiatives. This position is hybrid in Ft Washington, PA or Allentown, PA. The Sr. Business Intelligence Developer will design, develop, and optimize enterprise BI solutions that drive data‑informed decision‑making. This role plays a critical part in advancing data quality, governance, and strategic analytics maturity.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Business Intelligence Developer include:

• Leading high‑complexity and enterprise‑level BI solution design and development
• Serving as a domain subject matter expert across BI, healthcare data, and analytics processes
• Demonstrating advanced technical expertise across SQL, data modeling, and BI architecture
• Ability to support enterprise reporting teams, including standardized reports and one‑off data requests
• Experience collaborating within large, matrixed BI organizations
• Providing formal mentorship and guiding BI team members on best practices and standards
• Identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and improving processes related to governance, workflow, and data quality
• Demonstrated experience supporting Revenue Cycle analytics projects, including enterprise reporting and ad‑hoc data requests

Required Qualifications for the Sr. Business Intelligence Developer include:

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development or data analytics
• Epic Revenue Cycle Clarity Data Model Certification
• Revenue Cycle–focused BI Developer experience, supporting analytics and reporting initiatives across healthcare revenue cycle domains (HB/PB, billing, claims, payments, denials, AR, etc.)
• Prior HB / PB Clarity certification preferred as a foundation
• 5+ years of experience with SQL and analytics development (Epic tenure not required)
• Heavy emphasis on SQL querying, performance tuning, and complex joins
• 5–7 years of experience in healthcare analytics and reporting strongly preferred
• Experience migrating BI content from Tableau and/or Qlik to Power BI preferred
• Power BI dashboard development experience highly desirable, including enterprise‑level reporting
• Familiarity with Epic SlicerDicer is a nice‑to‑have, not a requirement
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and standardized reporting practices within healthcare environments
• Knowledge of data warehousing methodologies and experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field or equivalent experience.

Compensation for the Sr. Business Intelligence Developer includes:

Salary Range: $125,000-$130,000 depending on experience
