IT Project Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a IT Project Manager to support an industry leader in American tobacco manufacturing for a 6 month contract term hybrid role based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for business and IT oriented solutions across different areas such as Engineering, Quality, MES, Laboratory, and Specification Management.

Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager include:

·      Leading project planning and delivery using hybrid methodologies such as agile and waterfall

·      Using MS Project and Jira to create and maintain project schedules as well as milestones and resource plans

·      Managing, documenting, and obtaining approvals for financial elements of projects such as budgets, forecasts, actuals, and variance tracking

·      Communicating updates and concerns to stakeholders

·      Identifying issues and risks that may arise in projects

Qualifications for the IT Project Manager include:

·      10+ years of proven experience in IT project management delivering technology initiatives in manufacturing or regulated environments

·      Experience in hybrid PM methodologies

·      Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, etc.

·      Certifications in PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM preferred

·      Experience using MES, LIMS, QMS engineering design platforms, or specification systems preferred

·      Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in IT, Engineering, Business, or related field

Compensation for the IT Project Manager:

·      Salary Range: $145,600-$150,000 USD per year
