Senior SQA Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior SQA Engineer (Mobile Testing) to join a rapidly growing organization within the digital health and medical device software industry for a permanent, onsite position based in Morrisville, North Carolina. The Senior SQA Engineer (Mobile Testing) will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of a patient-facing mobile application used daily by individuals undergoing long-term treatment, serving as the primary quality voice for the product.

Responsibilities of the Senior SQA Engineer include:

· Lead hands-on manual testing efforts for iOS and Android mobile applications, ensuring functionality, usability, and reliability.

· Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases across multiple devices and platforms.

· Partner closely with engineering, product, and global QA teams to identify defects, assess impact, and drive resolution.

· Own defect management by investigating customer-reported issues, performing root cause analysis, and validating fixes.

· Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives as the SQA representative.

Qualifications for the Senior SQA Engineer include:

· 5+ years of hands-on manual mobile application testing experience, with 8+ years total in software quality assurance.

· Strong background testing both iOS and Android platforms, including experience across multiple device types.

· Experience validating RESTful APIs and understanding application integrations.

· Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with globally distributed teams.

· Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, test planning, estimation, and defect lifecycle management.

Compensation for the Senior SQA Engineer:

Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000/year (USD) + 10% bonus
