Network Security Analyst (SOC2/NIST)

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Security Analyst (SOC2/NIST) to support a leading organization within the technology and digital infrastructure industry. The Network Security Analyst (SOC2/NIST) role is ideal for an engineer with strong NIST and SOC2 experience who can design secure network architectures and translate compliance requirements into technical controls. The Network Security Analyst (SOC2/NIST) role is a 1 year contract to hire opportunity and allows you to work remote in EST hours.

Responsibilities of the Network Security Analyst (SOC2/NIST):

• Design, monitor, and maintain network architectures aligned to NIST and SOC 2 standards.
• Translate compliance mandates into technical network configurations.
• Support audit preparation and act as a technical liaison during assessments.
• Perform routing, switching, TCP/IP analysis, and network security support.
• Leverage Python for automation when applicable.
• Partner with an observability team to ensure continuous monitoring.

Requirements of the Network Security Analyst (SOC2/NIST):

• Experience with NIST frameworks and SOC2 compliance.
• Hands-on implementation of NIST or SOC2 controls preferred.
• Strong TCP/IP, routing/switching, and network security background.
• Python experience preferred.

Compensation for the Network Security Analyst (SOC2/NIST):

• $100,000 - $115,000
