Senior IT Systems Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior IT Systems Analyst to support a leader in the American tobacco manufacturing industry for a 6 month term on site role based in Greensboro, NC. The Senior IT Systems Analyst will be responsible for understanding business requirements and designing, building, deploying, and supporting IT solutions across manufacturing and industrial automation environments.

Responsibilities of Senior IT Systems Analyst Include:

• Understanding business requirements and translating them into functional and technical designs for IT solutions and services
• Supporting and maintaining MES applications that allow production execution, quality management, and genealogy
• Managing integrations between MEWS and ERP systems such as material movements, production orders, BOM/routing data, inventory updates etc.
• Ensuring that IT services utilized by internal customers are planned, delivered, monitored, and continuously improved using IT service management practices
• Administer and maintain historian platforms used to capture time-series process data such as temperatures, pressures, cycles, and equipment states
• Providing on-call or after hours support for production-critical issues

Qualifications for the Senior IT Systems Analyst include:

·      7+ years of experience in IT or systems in manufacturing or supply chain environments

·      Proven experience in SAP EXX or S/4HANA

·      Proven experience in Cloud and integrations platforms such as SAP MII, SAP BTP, Azure etc.

·      Proven experience in MES configuration, troubleshooting, and integration with enterprise systems.

·      Proven experience in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and stored procedure development

·      Proven experience in Python scripting for automation, transformation, and integration use cases

·      Proven experience in OPC UA concepts, configuration, and troubleshooting

·      ITIL Foundation certification preferred

·      Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields

Compensation for the Senior IT Systems Analyst:

·      Salary Range: $131,040-$136,000 per year based on professional experience
