Migration Project Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a Migration Project Manager to support a large-scale customer migration initiative within the technology industry. The Migration Project Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end migration of approximately 140 customers to a hybrid software and networking product, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal customer disruption. The Migration Project Manager opportunity is a project based contract that is expected to last about 9 months and allows you to work remotely.

Responsibilities of the Migration Project Manager:

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of customer migration projects involving software and networking components.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and migration waves for up to 140 customers.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, networking, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Oversee customer readiness, scheduling, cutover execution, and post-migration stabilization.
• Track risks, issues, and dependencies while providing clear status updates to internal stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements of the Migration Project Manager:

• 5+ years of project management experience delivering technical or customer-facing initiatives.
• Experience managing customer migrations, large-scale rollouts, or complex implementations.
• Working knowledge of software deployments and networking concepts.
• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project.

Compensation for the Migration Project Manager:

• $125,000 - $155,000
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
