Global Head of Data Science

A mid‑sized global CRO is seeking a Global Head of Data Science to provide enterprise‑level leadership across its global data science organization. This executive role is responsible for defining and executing data science strategy, driving commercial growth, and owning the global P&L across Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, and Statistical Programming. This is a full‑time, direct hire position that offers remote flexibility within the U.S., with travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities for the Global Head of Data Science:

• Set and lead the enterprise data science vision, unifying Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, and Statistical Programming into a cohesive global organization
• Position data science as a strategic and commercial differentiator, accelerating revenue growth and long‑term value creation
• Own global P&L accountability, including pricing strategy, margin management, and investment prioritization
• Shape and evolve data science service offerings in response to market demand, regulatory expectations, and scientific advancement
• Serve as a senior scientific authority and executive sponsor for key global clients and regulatory stakeholders
• Establish global governance and compliance frameworks to maintain inspection readiness across regions
• Lead practical innovation across advanced analytics, AI/ML, automation, and real‑world data initiatives

Qualifications for the Global Head of Data Science:

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MSc, or equivalent) in a quantitative, data science, or life‑science‑related discipline
• 20+ years of senior leadership experience within CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology organizations
• Proven track record leading large, global, multidisciplinary data science organizations
• Demonstrated experience with global P&L ownership and a strong commercial orientation
• Extensive experience partnering with senior sponsor leadership and global regulatory agencies

Compensation & Benefits for the Global Head of Data Science:

• $300,000–$350,000 base salary
