MES Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking an MES Engineer to join a large-scale life sciences manufacturing organization for a long-term onsite contract opportunity based in Holly Springs, North Carolina. This MES Engineer will support manufacturing execution system initiatives within a regulated pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment, contributing hands-on technical expertise to configuration, validation, and system readiness efforts across the site.

Responsibilities of the MES Engineer include:

· Configure and support MES/Syncade solutions to meet site-specific manufacturing and quality requirements.

· Lead technical setup activities, including system protocols, integration touchpoints, and environment readiness.

· Perform and review code validation activities to ensure compliance with GMP and internal quality standards.

· Partner with cross-functional teams to translate manufacturing needs into functional MES solutions.

· Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical guidance during implementation and ongoing operations.

Qualifications for the MES Engineer include:

· Five or more years of hands-on experience supporting MES platforms, with a strong preference for Syncade.

· Prior experience in regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing environments.

· Proven ability to independently handle technical configuration and validation without extensive ramp-up.

· Strong understanding of system lifecycle documentation, protocols, and validation best practices.

· Ability to work remotely with periodic onsite presence (approximately two weeks every two months).

Compensation for the MES Engineer:

Salary Range: $150,000-$170,000/year (USD)
