Senior Data Cloud Engineer

Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Sr. Data Cloud Engineer in Durham, North Carolina (NC) to work for an innovative and growing medical device manufacturer. The Product Development Engineer will play a significant role in the design of medical devices.

Responsibilities for the Senior Data Cloud Engineer include:

·      Consolidate and manage HCP and patient data by integrating multiple internal and third-party data sources into Salesforce Data Cloud

·      Architect, implement, and sustain scalable data structures that enable audience segmentation, reporting, and activation initiatives

·      Examine large and complex datasets to uncover insights that drive marketing decisions, campaign effectiveness, and performance tracking

·      Convert business needs into robust data models, calculated fields, and metrics that support tailored marketing and engagement efforts

·      Facilitate data connectivity and activation across Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and other enterprise platforms

·      Enhance data pipelines and processing workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely availability of data

·      Leverage Data Cloud capabilities to support advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases where applicable

·      Work cross-functionally with marketing, compliance, analytics, IT teams, and external partners to deliver data solutions aligned with business priorities

Qualifications for the Senior Data Cloud Engineer include:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related discipline

·      Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data platform roles supporting business functions

·      Advanced SQL skills for querying and transforming data, along with hands-on experience using Python and/or ETL technologies

·      Strong knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem architecture, including integration and API best practices

·      Background working with healthcare or life sciences data, including HCP and patient-level information

·      Exposure to Veeva CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred

Compensation for the Senior Data Cloud Engineer include:

·      Salary Range is $115,000-$130,000 dependent upon experience
