Software Engineer (React/Node)

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer to support a fast-growing technology startup focused on building modern, scalable applications. The Software Engineer role is ideal for an engineer with strong React and Node.js experience who enjoys using AI tools to rapidly build and enhance a codebase while working in a startup environment. The Software Engineer can sit remote within North Carolina and is a direct placement with the company.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineer:

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React
• Build and support back-end services using Node.js
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams in a startup setting
• Contribute to architecture and technical decisions as the platform scales

Requirements of the Software Engineer:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong experience building APIs with Node.js
• Experience using AI tools to support software development
• Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment

Compensation for the Software Engineer:

• $130,000 - $150,000 base salary
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law
