Windows Endpoint Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Windows Endpoint Engineer to support a growing client in the secure government services industry in the Raleigh-Durham (RTP), NC area. The Windows Endpoint Engineer role requires working in a hybrid environment with a combination of onsite and remote responsibilities. The Windows Endpoint Engineer role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure professional with expertise in enterprise Windows administration, Cloud PC technologies, endpoint security, and thin client environments supporting highly secure operations.

Responsibilities of the Windows Endpoint Engineer include:

• Administer and maintain on-premises Windows endpoint environments, ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and operational while addressing identified vulnerabilities.

• Own the engineering and support of Cloud PC platforms, including upgrades, lifecycle management, performance optimization, and fulfillment of business and customer requests.

• Drive endpoint security initiatives by coordinating patch management activities, vulnerability remediation efforts, and platform hardening across enterprise environments.

• Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate challenges within thin client environments, gathering requirements and recommending technology solutions for users operating in SCIFs.

• Lead endpoint improvement projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience, operational efficiency, and overall endpoint performance.

Requirements of the Windows Endpoint Engineer include:

• 7-10 years of experience managing enterprise Windows systems in large-scale environments.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Windows administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, endpoint management, and troubleshooting.

• Experience supporting Cloud PC technologies such as Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), or comparable virtual desktop solutions.

• Proven background in endpoint security, vulnerability management, patching strategies, and compliance-driven environments.

• Ability to gather business requirements, manage technical initiatives, and work effectively with stakeholders supporting thin client solutions.

Compensation for the Windows Endpoint Engineer include:

• $110,000 - 140,000 annually
