Network Engineer II – Position Description
The Network Engineer II designs, configures, implements, and supports enterprise data and voice networks. This role provides technical leadership across projects, delivers networking and unified communications solutions, and serves as a subject matter expert for network technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement enterprise network and unified communications solutions
- Collaborate with project teams to define networking/UC requirements and deliverables
- Provide tier‑3 technical support for complex network and UC issues
- Develop and maintain technical design and implementation documentation
- Support technology evaluation and vendor selection in collaboration with Solutions Architects
- Assist Network and UC Operations with service transition and process development
- Perform additional duties as required
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting large enterprise LAN and WAN environments
- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or CWNA preferred
Technical Skills
- Network security technologies: Cisco Sourcefire/FTD, Zscaler, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto NGFW & GPVPN, Meraki, Cisco ACI, SilverPeak (HPE) SD‑WAN
- Site‑to‑site VPN configuration and support
- Cisco routing and switching hardware: 2800/2900/4300, 4500, 6500, Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K
- Routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, OSPF
- Enterprise WAN, Internet circuits, and data center interconnects
- Packet capture and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
- TCP/IP and common application protocols
- Cisco Meraki wireless
- Core data center and campus networking
- SolarWinds
- F5 LTM (preferred)

Compensation
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000
Benefits: PTO, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, 401 (k), sick leave (as required by law)
