Head of Biostatistics

Piper Companies is seeking a Head of Biostatistics to join an innovative organization within the clinical research and life sciences industry for a remote, permanent opportunity. This Head of Biostatistics role is a high-level leadership position responsible for shaping statistical strategy, guiding scientific teams, and partnering with senior stakeholders across complex clinical development programs within the CRO industry.

Responsibilities of the Head of Biostatistics include:

· Set and drive the overall biostatistics vision, ensuring statistical excellence across clinical development programs.

· Provide executive-level leadership and mentorship to biostatistics teams, fostering scientific rigor and professional growth.

· Act as a strategic advisor to clinical, regulatory, and data management partners on trial design, analysis plans, and interpretation of results.

· Oversee the quality and consistency of statistical deliverables, including protocols, SAPs, and clinical study reports.

· Support business development and client engagement activities by contributing statistical expertise to proposals and governance discussions.

Qualifications for the Head of Biostatistics include:

· Extensive experience leading biostatistics functions within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment.

· Advanced degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.

· Demonstrated expertise in clinical trial design, regulatory submissions, and global development strategies.

· Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

· Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, client-facing setting.

Compensation for the Head of Biostatistics:

Salary Range: $250,000-$300,000/year (USD)
