Piper Companies is seeking am IT Asset & Service Operations Coordinator to join a well-known healthcare company onsite in Philadelphia, PA. The Service Operations Coordinator manages the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, serving as the central hub for procurement, inventory, and request fulfillment.
Responsibilities include:
- Service Request Lifecycle & Triage: Manage the end-to-end intake process for hardware and software requests, including performing initial triage, determining the necessity of End-of-Life (EOL) evaluations, and routing requests to the appropriate technical or procurement workflows to ensure data accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- Procurement & Vendor Coordination: Execute the hardware and software purchasing process by soliciting vendor quotes, submitting formal purchase requests for approval, and maintaining active communication with procurement teams to track orders and update stakeholders on delivery timelines.
- Logistics & Asset Receiving: Oversee the physical receipt and processing of all IT shipments, ensuring equipment is accurately identified against service requests, tagged appropriately, and formally recorded in the asset management system (e.g., PennFOR) upon arrival.
- Inventory Control & Compliance: Maintain the integrity of the IT asset repository through meticulous shelving, recording of equipment issuance to users or technicians, and conducting bi-monthly physical inventory reconciliations across multiple designated campus locations.
- Support Desk & Loaner Operations: Direct the daily operational activities of the Campus Support Desk, which includes managing the distribution of completed work and overseeing the "quick-exchange" loaner program for laptops and peripherals to ensure seamless equipment availability for users.
- Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain standardized operational procedures for ordering, receiving, and inventory workflows, ensuring all documentation remains current, accessible to the team, and reflective of evolving business needs.
Qualifications include:
- 1-3 years of experience
- Comfortable with Excel
- Vizio experience is nice to have, but not required
- Asset Management experience is a great to have, but not preferred
Compensation include:
- Pay Rate: $22/hour
- Onsite
