Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Trade Compliance Analyst to join an established organization within the medical device and healthcare manufacturing industry. This Senior Trade Compliance Analyst role is a permanent, onsite opportunity based in San Jose, CA and will serve as a key contributor within a growing Global Trade Compliance function supporting U.S. and international operations.
Responsibilities of the Senior Trade Compliance Analyst include:
· Lead and execute U.S. import compliance activities, ensuring adherence to customs laws, regulations, and internal policies.
· Support export compliance operations, including licensing, classification, and documentation for international shipments.
· Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. trade regulations, including Commerce and Customs requirements, and translate regulatory changes into operational practices.
· Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer-facing teams to resolve compliance issues and drive process improvements.
· Utilize SAP GTS and trade data to analyze risk, maintain accurate records, and support audits and government inquiries.
Qualifications for the Senior Trade Compliance Analyst include:
· Minimum of 5+ years of direct experience in trade compliance, customs affairs, or import/export operations.
· Strong working knowledge of U.S. regulations, including Title 15 (Commerce and Foreign Trade) and Title 19 (Customs Duties).
· Hands-on experience with SAP GTS or similar global trade management systems.
· Proven ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to business stakeholders and influence change.
· Experience working in a regulated, technical, or manufacturing-driven environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
Compensation for the Senior Trade Compliance Analyst:
Salary Range: $150,000 – $190,000/year (USD)
