Piper Companies is seeking a Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing organization within the technology and services industry. The Infrastructure Engineer role is ideal for a seasoned infrastructure professional with deep experience supporting enterprise environments, driving lifecycle initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure environments with a focus on Windows, VMware, and storage platforms.
- Lead and participate in IT infrastructure lifecycle refresh initiatives, including hardware, virtualization, and storage upgrades.
- Support and enhance disaster recovery and business continuity strategies across hybrid environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support hybrid infrastructure initiatives and modernization efforts.
- Contribute to infrastructure standards, documentation, and operational best practices.
Qualifications of the Infrastructure Engineer:
- 8+ years of prior infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, VMware virtualization, and enterprise storage solutions.
- Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem and cloud).
- Prior involvement in IT lifecycle refresh projects and disaster recovery planning/execution.
- Linux and/or AIX experience is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in complex environments.
Compensation for the Infrastructure Engineer includes:
- Hourly range: $50-60 depending on experience
