Software Engineer (Integrations)

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer to support the integration of enterprise security tools into complex technical environments within the technology services industry. The Software Engineer role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on experience integrating platforms such as Splunk and VMware ESXi, strong Python scripting skills, and the ability to support secure, scalable environments.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineer:

• Integrate and configure security tools and platforms such as Splunk and VMware ESXi within existing environments.

• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate integrations, data ingestion, and system workflows.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure secure and reliable system integrations.

• Troubleshoot integration issues across security, virtualization, and monitoring platforms.

• Support ongoing enhancements, upgrades, and optimizations of integrated security solutions.

Qualifications of the Software Engineer:

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Systems Engineer supporting enterprise environments.

• Hands-on experience integrating security tools and monitoring platforms such as Splunk.

• Working knowledge of VMware ESXi and virtualized infrastructure environments.

• Strong Python scripting experience for automation and system integration.

Compensation for the Software Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $115,000 – $130,000 depending on experience
