Piper Companies is seeking a Rare Disease Account Executive – Neuromuscular to support and strengthen rare disease launches across the Scranton, PA territory. This role serves as a field‑based commercial leader with deep expertise in neuromuscular disease states, local care delivery networks, and patient populations. The Account Executive is responsible for driving territory performance through ethical, compliant, and highly tailored customer engagement while advocating for patients living with rare diseases. This opportunity is a full time opportunity requiring territorial travel across Scranton, PA.

 

Responsibilities for the Rare Disease Account Executive – Neuromuscular include:

·      Building and executing strategic territory business plans that reflect a deep understanding of local market dynamics, customer needs, and treatment landscapes

·      Consistently achieving or exceeding territory sales objectives while operating with the highest levels of ethics, integrity, and compliance.

·      Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and broader care teams within key accounts and sites of care.

·      Serving as a subject matter expert on targeted neuromuscular disease states, including patient journeys, standards of care, and treatment decision drivers.

·      Delivering compelling, high‑impact customer experiences by mastering brand messaging, targeting strategies, and digital engagement tools tailored to distinct customer segments.

·      Acting as an advocate for rare disease patients by educating providers on available resources, tools, and support services across the care continuum.

 

Qualifications for the Rare Disease Account Executive – Neuromuscular include:

·      Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

·      Proven experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, specialty, or rare disease sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

·      Strong understanding of complex disease states and multi‑stakeholder healthcare decision‑making environments.

·      Ability to build trusted, long‑term relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and healthcare system partners.

·      Experience navigating payer, reimbursement, and access discussions in collaboration with access-focused teams.

·      Excellent communication and presentation skills, with comfort leveraging digital and omnichannel engagement tools.

·      Demonstrated growth mindset with a willingness to seek feedback, adapt strategies, and continuously develop professionally.

 

Compensation for the Rare Disease Account Executive – Nueromuscolar includes:

·      Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000

·      Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, holidays, and sick leave as required by law.
