Python Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Python Developer to support automation initiatives within a technology-driven organization operating in a Linux-based environment. The Python Developer role is ideal for an experienced engineer who specializes in Python scripting for automation, system reliability, and infrastructure support.

Responsibilities of the Python Developer:

• Develop and maintain Python scripts and automation tools to support Linux-based systems and infrastructure

• Automate operational workflows, system tasks, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and reliability

• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and engineering teams to design scalable automation solutions

• Debug, optimize, and enhance existing Python automation codebases

• Work extensively in Linux environments, including shell scripting and system-level troubleshooting

• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks as they relate to system and infrastructure operations

• Document automation processes, scripts, and best practices for internal teams

Qualifications of the Python Developer:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer or Automation Engineer

• Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation and systems integration

• Extensive experience working in Linux/Unix environments

• Hands-on experience with automation tools, cron jobs, system services, and scripting

• Familiarity with DevOps or infrastructure concepts such as CI/CD, configuration management, or cloud platforms is a plus

Compensation for the Python Developer includes:

• Salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
