Piper Companies is seeking a Data Migration Lead to support a large‑scale ERP transformation within a complex enterprise environment. The Data Migration Lead role is ideal for a senior data professional with deep expertise in ERP data migration, governance, and team leadership, particularly within SAP S/4HANA implementations.
Responsibilities of the Data Migration Lead:
• Lead end‑to‑end data migration efforts for an ERP implementation, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and readiness
• Oversee data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities across multiple data domains
• Manage and mentor data migration team members, providing technical guidance and best practices
• Define and execute data migration strategies, cutover plans, and mock conversions
• Develop and maintain data mapping documentation related to ERP transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with functional, technical, and business stakeholders to align data requirements
• Utilize data migration and integration tools to support extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Ensure alignment with data governance standards, including master data management (MDG)
Qualifications of the Data Migration Lead:
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with data cleansing and data migration for ERP implementations
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP MDG
• Proven experience leading or managing data migration teams
• Hands‑on experience with data tools such as Syniti, SAP Data Services (DS), or Informatica
• Strong background in data mapping and transformation related to ERP initiatives
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Compensation for the Data Migration Lead includes:
• Salary range: $160,000 – $190,000 depending on experience
• Hybrid work schedule based in Greensboro, NC
