Piper Companies is seeking an Associate Creative Director - Pharmaceutical Advertising for a contract engagement of four to five months working EST hours within the pharmaceutical and healthcare advertising industry. The Associate Creative Director - Pharmaceutical Advertising will play a hands-on leadership role, shaping and delivering integrated creative campaigns for both DTC and HCP audiences while guiding teams through concept development, execution, and regulated review processes.
Responsibilities of the Associate Creative Director – Pharmaceutical Advertising:
- Lead the development of integrated campaign concepts and creative systems across digital and print channels, including social, display, email, web/landing pages, video, and print.
- Translate brand strategy, insights, and business objectives into innovative, executable creative ideas.
- Actively contribute hands-on creative work, from early concepting through final execution.
- Present creative work confidently to internal stakeholders and clients, articulating rationale and navigating feedback and revisions.
- Balance big-picture conceptual thinking with strong attention to executional detail and craft.
- Manage multiple projects, tight timelines, and shifting priorities while maintaining high creative standards.
- Navigate pharma-specific requirements including MLR/Legal/Reg review, fair balance, safety language, and approved claims.
- Develop patient-sensitive, clear, and accessible creative that maintains emotional resonance and brand impact.
Qualifications of the Associate Creative Director - Pharmaceutical Advertising:
- 10-15 years' experience in ACD position with strong conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and integrated campaign work across digital and print.
- Proven experience developing creative within regulated pharmaceutical or healthcare categories.
- Strong understanding of DTC and HCP audiences and healthcare communication nuances across the patient journey.
- Experience with Figma and Sketch for web and product design.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills across disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects and Premiere a plus).
- Familiarity with modern AI-powered creative tools and workflows.
Compensation for the Associate Creative Director - Pharmaceutical Advertising includes:
- Hourly rate: $80 – $90 per hour
