Associate Creative Director - Healthcare

Piper Companies is seeking an Associate Creative Director – Healthcare to lead and elevate creative work for pharmaceutical and healthcare brands across DTC and HCP audiences. This role is a hands-on creative leadership position requiring strong conceptual thinking, executional excellence, and deep experience within regulated categories. This is a remote contract opportunity with preference of someone sitting in New York.

Responsibilities for the Associate Creative Director – Healthcare include:

·      Leading the ideation and development of campaign platforms, creative concepts, and visual systems across channels including social, display, email, web/landing pages, video, and print.

·      Operating with a high degree of independence while collaborating closely with copywriters, UX designers, strategists, account leaders, and production partners to deliver integrated work.

·      Actively contributing to day-to-day design and execution, ensuring all creative is polished, on-strategy, and exceptionally sound.

·      Presenting creative work to internal teams and clients with confidence, clearly articulating conceptual rationale and guiding feedback and revisions.

·      Navigating pharmaceutical MLR/Legal/Regulatory review processes, ensuring fair balance, safety language, and appropriate use of approved claims and indications.

·      Leveraging AI and emerging creative technologies to accelerate ideation, moodboarding, visual exploration, layout iteration, and production workflows while maintaining brand safety and regulatory sensitivity.

Qualifications for the Associate Creative Director – Healthcare include:

·      A portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and integrated campaign development across digital and print channels.

·      Proven experience leading creative work within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated categories.

·      Strong digital fluency, including experience with web ecosystems, UX fundamentals, and conversion-focused design.

·      Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

·      Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); After Effects and Premiere are a plus.

·      Hands-on experience with Figma and Sketch for digital and product design workflows.

·      Familiarity with modern AI-powered creative tools, with strong judgment around consent, usage rights, representation, and medical/pharma appropriateness.

Compensation for the Associate Creative Director – Healthcare includes:

·      Salary range: $150,000 - $165,000
