The National Retail Federation is seeking a Project Manager to join the globe’s largest retail trade organization for an employment opportunity. The Project Manager will work remotely to support the Senior Director of Digital Projects in the discovery and integration of a new Content Management System (CMS), while managing the existing CMS (Drupal) leading up to implementation.

Role Overview: As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's digital transformation journey by leading the integration of a new Content Management System (CMS) as we phase out Drupal. Collaborating closely with the Sr. Director of Digital Projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of this critical initiative. Your management, expertise, leadership, and project management skills will be instrumental in driving the project's success and helping NRF thrive in the digital age.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of the CMS migration project, adhering to project timelines/constraints
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, content, and IT, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverable.
  • Work closely with developers and technical teams to oversee system integration, data migration, and performance optimization efforts
  • Coordinate regular project status meetings, provide updates, and escalate issues as needed to the Sr. Director of Digital Projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred but not required
  • 4-5+ years of experience in technical project management, specifically with a track record of managing digital projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify, address, and resolve technical and project-related challenges
  • Excellent organizational skills - included executive level tasking, planning, and day-to-day management expertise to ensure team-wide efficiency and successful project execution
