Lab Animal Care Technician – Contract-to-Hire

📍 Robesonia, PA

We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for a Lab Animal Care Technician opportunity in Robesonia, PA. This is a contract-to-hire position with long-term potential for candidates who are reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on animal care environment.

Schedule

• Typical hours: approximately 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Some days may require earlier arrival (as early as 5:00 AM) due to animal shipments
• Weekend and holiday rotations are required

Responsibilities

• Daily care and husbandry of animals in a breeding facility
• Cleaning and sanitizing animal cages, equipment, and facility areas
• Power washing cages, floors, and work areas
• Monitoring animal environments and reporting concerns
• Following strict cleanliness, safety, and biosecurity procedures
• Wearing required PPE including scrubs, masks, gloves, and safety goggles

Work Environment

• This is NOT a laboratory testing role
• Facility environment is more similar to an agricultural or farm-style operation
• Significant cleaning and sanitation duties are part of the role
• No personal items permitted inside the facility, including cell phones and jewelry

Requirements

• Reliable transportation is REQUIRED due to remote location
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and clean throughout the shift
• Comfortable working around animals
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and facility protocols

Additional Information

• Shower facilities are optional
• Company-issued PPE provided
• Opportunity for permanent hire based on performance

Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $18/hr
• 6 month Contract to Hire
