Scientist (Method Validation)

Piper Companies is seeking a Scientist (Method Validation) to support a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Copiague, NY. The Scientist I will support analytical testing, method validation, and method transfer activities within a regulated QC laboratory environment.

Responsibilities of the Scientist (Method Validation)

• Perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products using HPLC and GC
• Support method validation, verification, and method transfer activities
• Conduct forced degradation and stability-indicating studies per ICH and USP guidelines
• Write validation protocols, analytical methods, and technical reports
• Maintain laboratory documentation in compliance with cGMP and data integrity standards
• Support cleaning validation activities and routine laboratory maintenance
• Assist with training and knowledge transfer for QC Chemists

Qualifications of the Scientist (Method Validation)

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
• 4+ years of pharmaceutical QC laboratory experience
• Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, and analytical instrumentation
• Experience supporting method validation and method transfers
• Strong understanding of cGMP, FDA, USP, and ICH guidelines
• Experience with Waters Empower or similar CDS platforms preferred

Compensation for the Scientist (Method Validation)

• Pay Rate: $45-50/hr.
• Contract Opportunity with strong potential for extension
