Piper Companies is seeking an Instructional Content Developer to support a large enterprise organization within the technology and communications industry. The ideal Instructional Content Developer will play a key role in driving internal change initiatives by creating clear, engaging, and learner‑focused training content that highlights value, adoption, and impact across HR services and functions. This Instructional Content Developer role is a short term contract opportunity with potential to extend working fully remote.
Responsibilities of the Instructional Content Developer:
- Create polished, ready‑to‑deliver training decks, job aids, quick reference guides, playbooks, and user documentation for HR tools and processes.
- Develop and edit instructional and explainer videos that support soft skills, behavior change, and system walkthroughs using Camtasia.
- Produce interactive eLearning content, screen recordings, and video‑based tutorials using Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise).
- Convert complex system and process documentation into simple, learner‑friendly instructional materials.
- Collaborate closely with instructional designers and learning architects to execute established learning strategies and content plans.
- Design in‑the‑moment, in‑the‑flow‑of‑work enablement resources to support adoption of new tools and processes.
- Ensure all learning assets are accurate, visually engaging, on‑brand, and aligned to change management goals.
Qualifications of the Instructional Content Developer:
- 5+ years of experience developing scalable, self‑paced learning content for large enterprise environments
- 3+ years of experience creating or editing instructional video content using Camtasia.
- 3+ years of experience designing and building eLearning courses using Articulate Rise and Storyline or similar tools (EasyGenerator, Captivate, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing or user documentation.
- Experience supporting system implementations or process transformation initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.
- Experience using AI or AI‑assisted tools during the content development process.
- Strong visual and presentation design skills using Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint.
Compensation for the Instructional Content Developer includes:
- $45.00-$55.00 per hour
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
