Piper Companies is seeking an IT Systems Lead to oversee and support enterprise application and infrastructure environments within a stable, on‑site organization in a regulated industry located in Greensboro, NC. The IT Systems Lead role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with strong experience supporting Windows-based systems, legacy and modern application stacks, and mobile device configuration in an on‑prem environment.
Responsibilities of the IT Systems Lead:
· Lead day-to-day support and enhancement of enterprise systems built on Windows, .NET, and Classic ASP technologies.
· Oversee SQL Server environments, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and data integrity.
· Provide technical leadership for system upgrades, patches, and application enhancements.
· Support and manage mobile device configuration, deployment, and security policies.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
· Ensure system stability, availability, and compliance with internal IT standards.
· Mentor junior technical staff and serve as an escalation point for complex system issues.
Qualifications of the IT Systems Lead:
· 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT systems in a lead or senior-level role.
· Strong experience with Windows Server environments and Microsoft-based application stacks.
· Hands-on experience with .NET, Classic ASP, and SQL Server.
· Experience supporting and configuring mobile devices in a corporate environment.
· Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, databases, and operating systems.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical teams.
Compensation for the IT Systems Lead includes:
· Salary range: $145,000 – $155,000 depending on experience
