Integration Engineer - Azure

Piper Companies is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to support a large‑scale data center migration to Microsoft Azure for a healthcare payer organization. This role is responsible for coordinating application and system integration touchpoints, validating end‑to‑end data flows, and managing interface adjustments required when endpoints, connectivity, or hosting locations change during migration waves. The ideal candidate has strong experience with enterprise integrations and messaging, understands healthcare data exchange patterns, and can operate effectively in a wave‑based migration factory model within a regulated environment (HIPAA/HITECH).

Key Responsibilities of the Integration Engineer:

• Identify, document, and coordinate integration touchpoints across applications, platforms, and external partners
• Manage upstream and downstream dependencies impacted by data center‑to‑Azure migrations
• Serve as the primary technical coordinator for integration readiness across migration waves
• Work closely with application owners, vendors, and infrastructure teams to ensure integrations remain functional
• Manage and implement interface changes resulting from endpoint, IP, URL, DNS, firewall, or routing updates
• Validate end‑to‑end data flows for batch, real‑time, and event‑driven integrations
• Coordinate and support integration testing, regression testing, and post‑migration validation
• Support integrations across Azure, on‑premises, and third‑party environments
• Participate in wave‑based migration planning, execution, and cutovers
• Support go‑live activities and post‑migration (hypercare) windows
• Maintain accurate integration inventories, data flow diagrams, and interface documentation

Required Qualifications of the Integration Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience in integration engineering or middleware support
• Experience coordinating integrations during data center or cloud migration projects
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns (APIs, messaging, batch, file transfer)
• Experience supporting integrations across hybrid environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (integration concepts, networking impacts)
• Experience working in healthcare

Compensation of the Integration Engineer:

• Salary Range: $66/hr - 79/hr depending on experience
