Piper Companies is looking to fill the role of Senior VP of Sales for a data science software company. The Senior VP of Sales will focus on closing new business and scaling enterprise presence. The Senior VP of Sales is located in Austin, TX, or remote, with availability to travel. 


Responsibilities of the Senior VP of Sales Include:

  • Lead global revenue growth by driving complex enterprise deal cycles, exceeding ARR targets, and maintaining disciplined pipeline, territory, and forecasting practices
  • Develop and elevate the sales organization by recruiting top talent, building a high‑performance culture, and coaching teams through reviews, deal strategy, and QBRs
  • Shape go-to-market strategy by advancing value‑based selling, refining ICP and playbooks, and partnering with Marketing and Product on demand generation and positioning
  • Strengthen cross-functional alignment by collaborating with Client Delivery, Solutions, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership to optimize handoffs, forecasting, and customer outcomes
  • Drive operational excellence by improving sales processes, methodology, CRM hygiene, and reporting on KPIs such as win rate, ACV, sales cycle, and pipeline coverage


Qualifications for the Senior VP of Sales Include:

  • Education qualifications including a bachelor’s degree (required) and an MBA or equivalent advanced degree (preferred)
  • Senior B2B sales leadership with 15+ years of progressive experience and 5+ years in a VP‑level role within high‑growth SaaS or technology
  • Global new‑logo enterprise sales with a focus on net‑new acquisition, managing complex 6–7 figure deals, and scaling worldwide teams to exceed $50M+ ARR
  • Advanced SaaS sales expertise including value‑based selling, pipeline generation, forecasting accura  cy, and mastery of CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Executive presence and customer engagement with the ability to influence C‑suite buyers, operate across multicultural markets, and travel 25–35% to support strategic deal closures

Compensation for the Senior VP of Sales include:

  • $210,000-$250,000 base 
  • $20,000-$35,000 of shares – 50-50 split
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Sick leave if required by law, and Holidays
