Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Revenue Development to join a high-growth organization within the data and analytics software space for a hybrid permanent position based in Austin, TX. The Director of Revenue Development will be responsible for establishing and scaling a modern pipeline generation function that bridges marketing efforts with revenue outcomes.
Responsibilities for the Director of Revenue Development include:
· Build and lead a newly formed revenue development team, including hiring and mentoring early-career SDR/BDR talent.
· Create a scalable process to convert inbound interest and targeted outreach into qualified sales opportunities.
· Collaborate closely with marketing and sales leaders to align campaigns, messaging, and service-level expectations.
· Implement structured outbound and account-based strategies to improve engagement across key accounts.
· Analyze funnel performance and continuously optimize conversion rates, pipeline quality, and team productivity.
Qualifications for the Director of Revenue Development include:
· 8+ years of experience in SaaS sales development, demand generation, or revenue-focused operations.
· Proven success building SDR/BDR or similar teams from the ground up in a mid-to-late-stage growth environment.
· Experience supporting both inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting strategies.
· Strong understanding of enterprise-level sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
· Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales engagement tools, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
Compensation for the Director of Revenue Development:
Salary Range: $140,000-$180,000/year (USD) + 25-50% bonus
