Piper Companies is hiring a Director of Revenue Development for a high-growth technology organization located in Austin, TX. The Director of Revenue Development will build and lead a scalable revenue development function that converts demand into high-quality sales pipeline. The Director of Revenue Development is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite in Austin, TX, and will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to drive pipeline performance and alignment across teams.
Responsibilities of the Director of Revenue Development:
• Own and optimize top-of-funnel conversion from marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) to qualified sales opportunities
• Build, hire, and scale a high-performing SDR/BDR team, including onboarding and coaching
• Develop and enforce SLAs between Sales and Marketing to ensure effective pipeline generation and handoff
• Partner with Marketing to translate campaigns into targeted outreach, ABM programs, and account-level execution
• Analyze funnel performance and drive continuous improvement in conversion rates and pipeline quality
• Lead experimentation across messaging, channels, and engagement strategies to improve results
Requirements of the Director of Revenue Development:
• 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales development, demand generation, or revenue operations
• Proven experience building and scaling SDR/BDR or revenue development teams from scratch
• Experience with both inbound and outbound sales strategies in enterprise or high-ACV environments
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX at least 3 days per week
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce and sales engagement platforms like Outreach or Salesloft
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Compensation for the Director of Revenue Development:
• $140,000–$180,000 base salary, plus 25–50% bonus (OTE: $180,000–$270,000), based on experience
