DevSecOps Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for a world leading technology organization in the Raleigh Durham, North Carolina area. The DevSecOps Engineer role is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite in the office. The DevSecOps Engineer will focus on vulnerability remediation across applications and cloud environments, ensuring security risks are identified, prioritized, and resolved effectively. An ideal candidate for the DevSecOps Engineer role is an experienced security engineer with strong expertise in AWS, EKS, RBAC, and application vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities of the DevSecOps Engineer:

• Identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

• Implement security best practices within AWS and EKS environments, including RBAC configurations.

• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyze vulnerability scan results and ensure timely remediation based on criticality.

• Improve security posture through automation, monitoring, and continuous process enhancements.

Qualifications of the DevSecOps Engineer:

• 4+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services and Kubernetes (EKS).

• Strong understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and secure system design.

• Proven experience remediating vulnerabilities in applications and cloud environments.

Compensation for the DevSecOps Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 depending on experience
