Front End Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Front End Engineer for a growing software-focused organization located in Raleigh, NC. The Front End Engineer will support the integration of a recent acquisition by building and optimizing user-facing web applications. The Front End Engineer is a 6-month contract role (with potential extension or conversion, not guaranteed) and is a hybrid position with local candidates in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities of the Front End Engineer:

• Develop responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React and TypeScript

• Build reusable components and manage application state using Redux

• Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and code quality

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation

Requirements of the Front End Engineer:

• 3+ years of modern JavaScript development experience

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Redux

• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across teams

• Experience integrating APIs and managing application state

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required

Compensation for the Front End Engineer:

• $52/hr-$56/hr, based on experience
