The National Retail Federation is seeking a Senior Director of Data Policy and Platform Management to join the world's largest retail trade organization. This individual will provide strategic leadership over NRF's enterprise data strategy, analytics, reporting, and digital platform ecosystem.
Role Overview: Responsible for the design, development, deployment and oversight of NRF’s data strategy, reporting solutions and digital platforms. Leads the team responsible for ensuring continuous data quality and integration across the organization. Collaborates across departments to enable a modern digital ecosystem that drives innovation, enhances customer experience, and supports business growth.

Essential Functions:
- Lead enterprise data strategy to ensure high-quality, secure, and accessible data.
- Identify data sources and establish data process flows, including process design/execution, data cleansing, data manipulation, and analysis.
- Lead the data architecture design and review process, including planning and monitoring initiatives, reviewing deliverables, evaluating reporting, and communicating with stakeholders.
- Provide technical recommendations for optimized data access and retention across all data systems; identify opportunities to improve data flows.
- Partner with business teams to enable data sharing and analysis within governance protocols.
- Collaborate across the organization to support enterprise-wide digital needs.
- Oversee the architecture, maintenance, and performance of digital properties, including CMS platforms, enterprise websites, data platforms (CRM, CDP, AMS), and APIs.
- Ensure system uptime, high availability, and secure configurations.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Oversee database management, maintenance, and the data integrity team (3 FTEs).
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality and contract compliance.
- Manage all aspects of data-related projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Background / Skills / Abilities Preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years in a leadership role.
- Solid, quantifiable experience in KPI metric development.
- Data modeling experience.
- Experience modernizing systems and enabling data-driven business solutions.
- Experience with web-based architecture.
- Understanding of SQL Server Reporting and Analytics Services.
- Demonstrated leadership in major platform implementations, cloud migrations, and large-scale technology projects.
- Strong technical foundation in APIs, CMS, CRM, CDP, and data lakes.
- Familiarity with personalization tools and digital transformation platforms preferred.
- Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator.
