Piper Companies is seeking a Compensation Manager to join a leading life sciences organization for a hybrid permanent position located in the RTP, NC area. The Compensation Manager will oversee advanced compensation initiatives, including incentive and equity programs, while serving as a strategic advisor to leadership.
Responsibilities of the Compensation Manager include:
· Lead the design and execution of compensation programs including base pay, incentives, and equity plans
· Provide strategic compensation guidance to HR partners and senior leadership across the organization
· Manage large-scale compensation projects, including system implementations and process improvements
· Evaluate market trends and compensation surveys to inform program enhancements and competitiveness
· Oversee data analysis and reporting efforts to support compensation decisions and regulatory compliance
Qualifications for the Compensation Manager include:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related discipline
· 8+ years of progressive compensation experience within an HR function
· 3+ years of experience in the life sciences industry (pharma, biotech, or medical devices required)
· Strong background in incentive compensation, equity programs, and advanced analytics
· Expertise in Excel and experience with compensation management systems (Workday preferred)
Compensation for the Compensation Manager:
Salary Range: $120,000-$165,000/year (USD)
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
